What are you searching for?

Inside each of us, there is a wiser, braver, and more assured version of ourselves. Most of us have unknowingly silenced, limited, and hid this version of ourselves, sometimes so well that even we forget it exists. My guess is that the reason you feel uncomfortable and stuck is because this part of you is struggling to be freed from these limitations. Like shoes you have outgrown, they pinch and cut into you, making every step painful and difficult, and making it hard to concentrate on where you are heading.

We limit ourselves in a number of ways: through the words we use to describe ourselves, the destructive habits that keep us stuck, and the many stories we tell about what we can and can’t do. We limit ourselves for a number of reasons, but mainly because we are afraid - afraid of failing, of being rejected, or of being hurt. While our limitations may have helped us feel safe and protected, they probably also have held us back, kept us stuck, and made us feel small and powerless.

Limitations, like fears, are all about what we can’t do and what we don’t want to happen, and they need to grow with us. Many of us formed these limitations long ago, when our circumstances were different and our freedoms fewer, and are long overdue for a re-evaluation. Essentially, this is the work we will do together: re-evaluating you, your life, and your future, and re-drawing the boundaries of what is possible for you.
